Logo Design

I was reached out by a local restaurant serving authentic Mexican food full of rich flavors and exquisite steak. The client wanted a logo that would utilize the Mayan calendar based on the original stone carving from the Mayan culture. I was excited as starting a project with a sketch is always fun and a great way to let the mind flow in a free and limitless way.

 

My logo creation process started with doing research on the history of the stone calendar. From there I had several references and mapped a direction for how I was going to approach the logo. To stay true to the calendar I opted for warm tones for the main colors and utilized pops of green and red for small details.
